Jurassic Park

This week the children have been introduced to our new topic, 'Jurassic Park'.  We have begun finding out all about dinosaurs!  We read the story 'Dinosaurumpus'. The children labelled a dinosaur, made a split pin dinosaur by cutting and joining parts together with a split pin.  They have enjoyed playing in the small world with the dinosaur scene.  They have used doubling skills in maths to double the dinosaur eggs and also learnt all about length and height - ordering dinosaurs from longest to shortest and tallest to shortest. The children have been very excited to discover our new babies in the home corner.  They are enjoying looking after them and taking them on walks around the classroom.
