Anansi the Spider!

This week we have continued to read the story of the three billy goats gruff.  The children retold the story and wrote words using their phonic knowledge.  We have also listened to the story of Anansi the spider.  The children have followed steps to draw their own spider, used cutting and fine motor skills to make a spider and labelled parts of a spider using known sounds.  In maths, the children have learnt about doubling numbers.  They doubled numbers to 5 using their fingers and then showed this knowledge by putting double the dots on the butterflies.
