Celebrating Children’s Mental Health Week
This week, we’ve had a wonderful time celebrating Children’s Mental Health Week, with a focus on encouraging positive mental well-being and a growth mindset.
We started the week with an inspiring assembly led by Mrs. Matsangou, where the children heard the story of The Magical Yet. This book reminded us that we might not be able to do everything just yet, but with perseverance, we can achieve our goals!
Throughout the week, the children took part in a variety of activities:
- Monday: Setting personal goals through The Magical Yet
- Tuesday: Enjoying calming music to relax
- Wednesday: Creating positive affirmations through Pebble Art
- Thursday: Moving and expressing ourselves in a fun dance workshop
- Friday: Practicing mindfulness with colouring and calming music
In class, we continued to focus on positivity by writing our own affirmations and creating a class affirmation chain. The children wrote their affirmations and decorated them in a way that made them feel happy and positive. We also had a lot of fun listening to affirmation songs, adding an extra dose of positivity to our week.
