What Makes a Strong Bridge?

In Science today we were learning about how some materials are stronger than others and how some materials can be made stronger. We looked at some bridges made of wood, a natural material, and some bridges made from bricks, a man-made material. We then looked at some pictures of some huge bridges and noticed that a lot of them used triangle shapes to help make the bridges strong. We also talked about how cylinders were strong shapes too. Our task was then to make a bridge in a group using 4 sheets of A4 paper and a small amount of masking tape.
