The Very Hungry Caterpillar!

Our story this week is 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar'.  The children have listened well to the story and then used a story map to retell the story. This week has also been maths week. The children have listened to the story of '10 Black Dots'.  They have used subitising to find how many dots create the pictures.  They then used their own dots to place the correct amount onto each numeral.  The children have also learnt about the celebration of Diwali as part of our celebrations' topic.  They have used clay to create their own diva lamps. The children were very excited this week to welcome their grown-ups into their classroom for open view.  They showed their grown-ups all the different activities and learning areas - well done!
