Spreadsheets and Formula

Over the course of this term, both of the Y6 classes have been learning about the joys of spreadsheets. Using the spreadsheet program Google Sheets, they have organised data and learnt how to make use of formulas to add, subtract, multiply and divide large amounts of information, as well as formatted information to be displayed appropriately in different cells (e.g. currency / time / dates).

We have also spent some time talking about the importance of keeping information clear and not overly complicating things with too many colours and stylish fonts!

Our current task links to our topic work, where we are planning the costs of a VE Day party in a spreadsheet, using formula to help us add up large amounts.
