Showing off our writing skills

This week, we have completed our first writing unit: persuasive letter writing. The culmination of this has been writing a letter of application in role of one of Duncan's toys who is keen to take on the position of his 'favourite toy'. We have had to develop our understanding of the difference between formal and informal language; we have got to grips with modal verbs and adverbs of possibility. We've also started dabbing in the use of semi-colons and colons! 
This is an opportunity for the children to showcase their new skills. We have had some lovely relaxing music on and the candles out to set the mood for writing. I can't wait to read the letters!
