Online Author Lesson- M.G.Leonard

Today we took part in an online lesson with the author M.G.Leonard. We have a lot of her books in school and she was fascinating to listen to.  She has written a new book called 'Hunt for the Golden Scarab'. She told us about the protagonist, Sim, and where it was set, which is Egypt. She did a lot of research before she wrote the book by visiting Egypt and finding out about Ancient Egyptian civilisation. This is when she became obsessed with beetles, in particular the scarab beetle. She also teased us with the fact that 'Hunt for the Golden Scarab' is the first in a new series of books.
