Defensive tactics

This afternoon, we continued to work on our basketball skills. In particular, we were working on our defensive skills and techniques. We know that a defender's aim is to opposition from advancing and scoring, no matter the sport. We first worked on our tracking skills; staying close to our opponent is key. We considered how to be a strong defensive player and decided that it was important that we remained between the basket and the person with the ball and we ensured our knees were bent to allow us to change speed quickly. 
We played some mini-games to work on our 'tracking' skills and begin to work alongside other defenders who have the same goal in mind.
