Is There Room On The Broom...

The children have had great fun in English this week with the story 'Room on the Broom' by Julia Donaldson. We used our wonderful Now Press Play resource to listen to the story whilst following along on the screen, then in pairs, they accessed a digital copy of the book and picked out nouns, adjectives, verbs and adverbs and sorted them into word classes. Later in the week, we revisited the story, sequenced the events and worked in groups to take on the roles of the characters and acted out various scenes.
