Growing in confidence with long division!

It was time....they were ready....!

Although the children know how to divide, this was something else! There was a little apprehension in the room when we started out, but today, the children have been amazing! They have conquered long division, and it has been incredible to see their confidence grow over the course of a few days.

We started by using partitioning to find our multiples before we were able to translate this to long division. Looking at long division alongside short division really helped to see how the method worked really helped too!

The words "I love long division" were uttered by multiple children! What a great mathematical week!
