The Smeds and the Smoos

Year 2 were brilliant this week at describing and then drawing, painting and collaging their own Smeds and Smoos pictures! This Julia Donaldson book was the perfect and a fun start to our new topic of 'Unity in the Community'. This term, as a school, we are looking at the theme of Conflict and this book showed beautifully how important it is to get along with everyone no matter what they look like or if they seem different to us.
