Goldilocks and the Three Bears.
In English this week, the children have listened to the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears. They have retold the story by remembering the main events. The children have drawn their own cottage for the bears and have used their knowledge to write 1 more and 1 less than a number of bears. In maths, children have been introduced to mass and weight. They have used their hands to become human scales, saying which is heavier and lighter. They have also used balance scales discussing which item is heaviest and which is lightest. One of their challenges this week was to find their way through the school to the fish tank. They were great at finding their way on their own, collecting their blue sticks and then walking very sensibly back to the class!
