Values Awards - Honesty - 4/4/25

On the last Friday before the Easter holiday, we celebrated one of our school values - Honesty. Mr Horsley led our special assembly, where each of the Honesty winners - 2 from each class, nominated by their teachers - danced down our famous red carpet to hear the words of their teachers explaining why they had been selected for the Honesty awards.

Our children were highly supportive of the winners, high-fiving each child as they came down the red carpet to accept their awards.

Miss Wagstaff's Poem

Miss Wagstaff had found a suitable poem (now a Values Award tradition!) for the value of Honesty and shared it with the school. You can read this below:

The Truthful Tale of Timmy Turtle

The truth is always the wisest way,

Said Timmy Turtle one fine day.

He knew that lies could never hide

The truth would always come outside.

So Timmy Turtle told the truth,

His honesty was like a soothing truth.

He never hesitated, never lied,

And that's why friends were always by his side.

Please see below the photos of the winners of the Spring 2's Honesty Value Awards.

Mrs Cox then reminded us of next term's value - CREATIVITY - and why it is so important. Well done to all of this term's winners.
