Egg-cellent Year 6 Advert- Go to School on an Egg!

We hope you will be impressed with the Woodland View Year 6 egg-citing advert created in just one day! Please watch and enjoy their finished advert!

Children in Year 6 had the unique opportunity to work with a professional film crew to devise and film an advert for British Lion Eggs. The children were guided through the whole creative process including: storyboarding, planning, performing, filming, directing and making editorial decisions.

This wonderful learning experience was made possible as Annabelle won ‘The Eggs Factor- Kids in the Kitchen’ competition the children entered when they were in Year 5. Whilst in Year 5 they had a number of egg based homework challenges during their ‘Round and Round’ topic, including the ‘Eggs Factor Competition!’ This competition was designed to help inspire children to get involved in the kitchen and create healthy and nutritious dishes using eggs. Annabelle impressed the judges with her imaginative recipe and was one of four winners nationally.

The day was an incredible opportunity for our Year 6 children, who showed fantastic enthusiasm, teamwork and creativity. One of the best parts of the day was learning how to use the professional equipment, including film cameras and sound recording equipment! Look out for the technical crews, clapper boards and boom microphones in the advert!

Our thanks go to the brilliant professional film team who supported the children throughout to create a memorable day.
